General Motors' Heritage Archive publishes a Vehicle Information Kit for every Camaro model year from 1967 through 2002. These are first-party documents — factory brochures, dealer ordering guides, specification sheets, VIN and model coding, engineering data — scanned as they were printed.
They are the strongest sources this site has, and they are linked directly rather than paraphrased so you can read the original. Where a CamaroFacts figure disagrees with something you find in a kit, the kit is usually right and we want to know.
A caution the archive itself implies: a kit preserves material as of its revision date, so a brochure in an early-year kit can be superseded by a later dealer order guide. Treat a kit as authoritative for what it shows, not as exhaustive for the whole model year.
