Model year · Fourth Generation
1993 Camaro
Reborn — and Corvette-powered
An all-new body, a new Quebec plant, and the LT1 — the most powerful Camaro since 1971.
The fourth generation launched in January 1993 (a late, short model year) with production moved to a new dedicated plant at Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec. The Z28 launched with the Corvette-derived LT1 5.7 L V8 — 275 hp, which Chevrolet noted made it the most powerful Camaro since the 1971 big blocks.
The low 39,103-unit total is a short-year artifact, not weak demand: 1994–95 both cleared 120,000.
