First fourth-gen drop-top — modest volume, now a genuinely uncommon car.
1994 brought the first fourth-generation convertible (the third gen had one 1987–92; the fourth launched coupe-only in 1993). Volumes were modest next to the coupe — the base convertible's 2,328 units make it uncommon today — but the drop-top stayed through 2002.
