1988 Camaro — The secret 1LE

1LE was a track package (Corvette calipers, Caprice front rotors, aluminum driveshaft, baffled fuel tank) developed by a team including John Heinricy — a name better known from Corvette. It appeared on no order form: you triggered it by ordering a hardtop IROC-Z with the G92 axle, G80 limited-slip, and — the essential catch — C41 air-conditioning delete. Because you had to already know the recipe, only about four were delivered in the US its debut year.
