About CamaroFacts
A reference for Camaro owners, buyers and anyone who just likes the car.
CamaroFacts covers every Chevrolet Camaro from the first 1967 cars to the last 2024s: what changed each year, how many were built, what the codes on the car mean, and the people and races behind it. It's an independent site. Not affiliated with General Motors or Chevrolet.
Who runs it
Bill Pierce builds the CarFacts reference sites for Camaro, Corvette and Mustang, and edits this one. It's a small operation, so replies to [email protected] can take a few days.
How it's put together
Wherever we can, figures come from GM's own paperwork, especially the Heritage Center's vehicle information kits, and from the Camaro Research Group's work on the early cars. Magazines, auction records and books fill in the rest. When good sources disagree, we show both numbers rather than picking one. Each page lists what it relies on, and the sources page explains how we weigh them.
The decoders read a VIN, cowl tag or stamping the way GM's charts do. That tells you what a car was built as. It doesn't prove a car is original, so treat a decode as a starting point for an inspection, not a verdict.
Photos
Every photo is used under its stated license or with the owner's permission, and the credit sits under the picture. Where we don't have a licensed photo of a particular car or year yet, the page says so.
Found a mistake?
Corrections are welcome, especially with a source. Email [email protected]. If you own a car or a photo that belongs on the site, we'd like to hear about that too. What we've changed after publishing is listed, with dates, on the corrections page.
Sister sites
VetteFacts does the same job for the Corvette, and MustangFacts for the Mustang.
