GM confirms 2024 will be the Camaro's last model year; 2023 is a carryover.
The next-to-last model year. In March 2023 GM confirmed that Camaro production would end after the 2024 model year, with no direct successor announced.
The car itself barely changed: Radiant Red Tintcoat and Sharkskin Metallic paint and a black split-five-spoke forged 20-inch wheel were the news. The bigger Camaro story came from racing, when a modified Camaro ZL1 ran the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
One production figure is listed for 2023: US sales (calendar year), 31,028.

The 2023 table lists four engines: the 2.0 L turbocharged inline-4 (LTG), the 3.6 L V6 (LGX), the 6.2 L V8 (LT1) and the 6.2 L supercharged V8 (LT4). The highest power rating shown is 650 hp, for the 6.2 L supercharged V8 (LT4).

The material choices and model groups follow Chevrolet's 2023 US brochure. Upholstery ordering codes remain unknown. The seating matrix warns that heated and ventilated front-seat functions will not work on certain models without a dealer retrofit, and refers readers to the dealer or window label. A listed material or nominal feature does not establish an individual car's retrofit completion. Accent packages are listed on 2LT, 3LT and 2SS; Adrenaline Red is not available with Vivid Orange Metallic, Rapid Blue or Riverside Blue Metallic. ZL1's Red-accent RECARO material is listed separately from the non-ZL1 choice.

The end was announced in the same year a Camaro raced at Le Mans and won on its Australian Supercars debut.
Beyond the new colors and wheel, Chevrolet's fact sheets listed little for 2023. The LS and LT kept the turbo four, rated at 22 mpg city and 30 highway with the automatic, and the V6. The LT could be dressed with the RS package, the Redline or Shock and Steel editions, design packages or a Brembo front brake package. Every car had wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi hotspot capability and built-in Amazon Alexa.
The 650-hp ZL1 came with 11 heat exchangers for track cooling, Brembo six-piston monobloc front calipers on 15.35-inch two-piece rotors, and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires with a compound developed for the track. Its EPA ratings were 14 city and 20 highway with the manual. Parts shortages still showed. The fact sheets noted that the heated and ventilated seats and heated steering wheel might not work until a dealer retrofitted them.
On March 22, 2023, GM said the sixth-generation Camaro would retire at the end of the 2024 model year, with the last cars leaving the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan in January 2024. The release looked back on the generation. It had brought Magnetic Ride Control to the SS, spread 1LE track packages across every level of the range for the first time, and produced in the ZL1 1LE the fastest Camaro ever around GM's Milford road course. "While we are not announcing an immediate successor today, rest assured, this is not the end of Camaro's story," said Scott Bell, vice president of Global Chevrolet. A Collector's Edition for the 2024 cars, named after the original "Panther" code name, was promised for later in the year. What has been reported since is covered in the next-generation Camaro story.
In June 2023 a Camaro ZL1 raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was a NASCAR Next Gen Cup car entered in Garage 56, the single-entry class for innovative cars, by NASCAR, Hendrick Motorsports, Chevrolet, Goodyear and IMSA. The car ran the R07 small-block V8 developed for NASCAR and was driven by Jimmie Johnson, Jenson Button and Mike Rockenfeller. It completed 285 laps and finished 39th of 62. GM president Mark Reuss said that Chevrolet had "never done anything quite like Garage 56."
Chevrolet marked it with a road car announced at Le Mans, a ZL1 Garage 56 Edition limited to 56 cars and built as a 2024 model. It was painted in the new Riptide Blue with a white stripe edged in gold from hood to deck lid and wore NASCAR's 75th-anniversary logo on the hood.
