2022 broke a long tradition: Chevrolet explicitly declined to build a 55th Anniversary Special Edition, with trade reporting attributing it to softening Camaro sales and GM's pivot toward EV investment ahead of the sixth generation's coming discontinuation. The 1LE Track Performance Package was also dropped from the LT-series trims, narrowing its availability.
