The final year of the Zeta-platform car, with the LS7-powered Z/28 still on offer.
2015 closed out the fifth generation before the lighter, Alpha-platform sixth generation arrived for 2016. The naturally aspirated Z/28 — the Corvette Z06's 7.0 L LS7 (505 hp), built for lap times rather than headline power — remained the range-topper, out-lapping the more powerful supercharged ZL1 in period tests.
