Camaro returned as a 2010 model on GM's Zeta platform, closely following a 2006 concept (designed under Bob Boniface) that referenced the 1969 car. Director Michael Bay had already made the unreleased concept “Bumblebee” in the 2007 Transformers film, delivering a measurable sales bump before the real car shipped. Roughly 80,000 sold in 2010.
The powertrain and identification notes below preserve configuration and model-year boundaries rather than treating every 2010 Camaro alike. Ratings use the measurement convention of their period, and visual cues are only a starting point: the VIN, factory labels, drivetrain identifiers, and surviving documentation should agree.
