Larry Shinoda

Designer — Corvette and Boss 302

Larry Shinoda connects the wider GM and Ford performance story. Under Bill Mitchell in GM's “Studio X,” he was central to the 1963 Corvette Sting Ray and the Mako Shark. Published evidence reviewed for CamaroFacts does not establish the often-repeated claim that he designed Camaro's ZL2 cowl-induction hood.

He later followed Bunkie Knudsen to Ford, where his work shaped the Boss 302 Mustang and its visual identity. He is recognized by both the Corvette and Mustang halls of fame.
